TIR Crosshair Dual Axis IR Detector

Description

The TIR Crosshair Dual Axis IR Detector is a powerful thermal detection device with the ability to detect the location of the hot or cold spots in both X and Y axes. On the front of this ghost detector there is a small 64 pixel thermal matrix infrared sensor that is capable of detecting a thermal change within a 60° field of view and up to 10 feet away.

How is the location displayed? If you place an object in front of the sensor the LED lights will turn on and move in conjunction with the location of the object, kind of like how a submarine radar screen works. The Y axis indicates the height of the anomaly and the X axis displays if it's left or right of the sensor.

You can test this by standing in front of the sensor around 6 to 9 feet away, when you are detected it light up red for a moment and turn off, at this point the device is calibrated. When a registered anomaly starts moving towards the sensor the lights turn red and when it move away it they turn blue. Each individual LED light represents a 6° to 7.5° shift in position, equivalent to a small human step at a distance of 6 feet.

The TIR Crosshair is a great ghost hunting gadget that can be used to both detect thermal energy as well as provide a way interact or communicate with a spirit. During an investigation you can request that the ghost moves a certain direction to answer yes or no style questions. Please note, heat sources and cold drafts such as those from heat vents and air conditioners can affect the sensor and should be considered verifying a reading.
